Philanthropic Women

There are many famous philanthropists who are making a difference in the world. Many women wisely use their celebrity status to better a cause and bring greater awareness to it. The actions of women like those we’ve featured have made dramatic improvements worldwide. You don’t have to be a celebrity to make a difference! These women help inspire others to make a difference in their own unique way. The meaning of philanthropy can be described in many ways. It is caring and sharing. It is giving and serving. It is our individual response to the human need. It’s our opportunity to get involved. And remember it doesn’t just need to be financial, it can be your time or knowledge.

My own personal story is that I was recently challenged in a spiritual ceremony to invite more money into my life. I was reticent because I had old beliefs that if I did I would have to make other sacrifices and that I was being greedy as I should be grateful for what I had. The wise teacher challenged my thinking and said...”what if none of that were true? What if you could create abundance and use it to make a difference in the world?” That single question was a major turning point for me and I encourage others of you to join me. Educate and empower yourselves financially and if you save some money and make some by doing that and you wish to give something back to help another woman then what a wonderful cycle of philanthropy we would be generating :o)
